"inHabit - A Festival of Dance for Camera, 2018" - CALL FOR ENTRIES!
“Engaging community and coming together through a love for dance and expression”
The first ever festival of its kind on the Central Coast, “inHabit” is intended to bring artists and the community together to celebrate our unique perspectives, histories, and artistic expressions. It is our hope that in building bridges within our community, we will strengthen the fibers of our human connections while embracing the beauty of differences through this shared vision.
Both novice and established film-makers are encouraged to submit narrative, abstract, animated, and/or short films that push boundaries and experiment with cutting edge media while expressing themselves in uniquely authentic ways.
“inHabit” will make its exciting launch in May 2018 and incorporate site-specific, live performance and stand-alone dance for camera works in one unique production.

"Buffs United" Performance Event 2017
A partnership of CU Boulder students, faculty and staff will host a Jan. 25 BuffsUnited event that will support the values of an inclusive campus and the Colorado Creed.
The event, free and open to the public, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Old Main Chapel. BuffsUnited will include speeches and musical performances to highlight important social issues.
“BuffsUnited is a celebration of a CU community that recognizes there’s value in all dimensions of diversity on our campus,” said Associate Professor Samuel Flaxman, an event organizer. “We want to build inclusion and improve campus climate in a way that affirms the values of the Colorado Creed.”
A pair of unrelated dance works comprise a two-act production. Dodson's piece twists and writhes in a sensorial journey accessing the unity of mind, body and spirit while turning the self inside out to explore one's inner landscape. Interested in unearthing the creature within, Dodson seeks to peer under the surface of who we are in order to see what animal self lies in wait.
